An Invitation to Join #ChangeTheNow
In 2018 Georgian College, Canada’s first Ashoka Changemaker College, wanted to know if they could mobilize students from kindergarten to Post Secondary into a movement, effectively building a region of Changemakers. It was from here that #ChangeTheNow began.
Do good to do well
#ChangeTheNow was created on the beliefs that small acts can lead to big change and collaborations can turn into largescale movements. We believe together students’, educators’ and communities’ ideas can spark systems shifts that make will make our communities greener, healthier, safer, stronger and more inclusive!
Will you join us in creating the positive change and contribute to 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals?

🤔 Reflection question
After completing CTN, what new awareness do you have for yourself (ME) and your community (WE) and what is one action you might take to continue to explore it?
Kinjal's Answer
I have gained new awareness for myself (ME) and my community (WE). I have learned to view complex problems through a systems-thinking lens, enabling me to identify underlying patterns, interconnections, and potential solutions. For my community (WE), I have come to appreciate the power of collaboration and the strength that arises from diverse perspectives. I recognize the value of inclusive dialogue and how it contributes to more innovative and comprehensive problem-solving. One action I might take to continue exploring these newfound insights is to actively engage in cross-disciplinary discussions and collaborations. By seeking out opportunities to work with individuals from different backgrounds and fields, I can apply my systems-thinking approach and active listening skills to contribute meaningfully to a wide range of conversations and projects.

🤔 Reflection question
How might the prototype & test stage help you with overcoming a fear of failure or challenging your assumptions about what is ‘right’?
Roshan's Answer
The two stages, prototype and testing are the major stages to check the possible result of the implementation. They help to overcome a fear of failure as prototype is a design and we can replicate it as a final product and test its functionalities.
